Thank you so much for sharing. Memorial Day has sparked a renewed awareness for me, though I was merely a livingroom spectator at the time. Oddly, though, I am more affected now than I was back then. For some reason, the calamity of that day seemed so surreal that I reluctantly became numb and detached. I am so sorry about the loss of your friend. Please do not diminish your experience. I am no expert, but I would imagine that what you’ve encountered was nothing like any Christmas morning I can remember.
