Centennial Events

A screening of Oscar-nominated documentary

Tuesday, March 12, 2013

Please join us in a special centennial screening of Oscar-nominated documentary

with Professor Helen Benedict, whose articles and lauded book THE LONELY SOLDIER inspired the film about sexual assault in the US military.

A female soldier in Iraq and Afghanistan is more likely to be raped by a fellow soldier than killed by enemy fire. The number of assaults in the last decade amount to the hundreds of thousands.

THE INVISIBLE WAR is a groundbreaking investigative documentary, inspired by Prof. Benedict’s lauded book, THE LONELY SOLDIER, about one of our country’s most shameful and best kept secrets: the epidemic of rape within our US military.
